Old washer or dryer sitting in the basement? We'll disconnect it, haul it up the stairs, and get it out of your house. You don't lift a finger.
Nobody wants to deal with moving a washer or dryer. They're heavy, awkward, and usually stuck in the worst possible spot -- a cramped basement with narrow stairs, a tight laundry closet, or shoved into a corner of the garage. And if it's a gas dryer, you've got a gas line to worry about too.
We take care of all of it.
Local Junk Team removes washers and dryers all over Cleveland and the suburbs. We disconnect the water lines, handle the gas hookup if there is one, muscle the unit out of wherever it's sitting, and haul it to a recycling facility. You point at it, and we make it disappear.
We remove all types of laundry equipment:
If you've got a gas dryer, don't try to disconnect it yourself. A bad disconnection can cause a gas leak, and that's not something you want to mess around with. Our crew shuts off the gas supply valve, disconnects the flexible gas line, and caps the connection so nothing leaks. If there's no shutoff valve or the valve looks corroded, we'll let you know before we touch anything.
Electric dryers are simpler -- we unplug the 240-volt connection and you're good to go.
If you live in Ohio City, Tremont, Old Brooklyn, or really anywhere on the west side, you probably know the drill. The washer and dryer are in the basement. The stairs are steep. The doorway at the top is narrow. And the unit weighs 200-plus pounds.
We do this all the time. A lot of Cleveland homes -- especially the older ones built in the 1920s through the 1950s -- have laundry setups in unfinished basements with tight stairways. Our crew brings the right equipment and knows how to get a heavy washer or dryer up those stairs without tearing up your walls or railing. It's what we do.
Same goes for homes in West Park, Lakewood, and Parma. Older housing stock, basement laundry, tight spaces. Not a problem for us.
A single washer or dryer removal typically runs $80 to $175. If you're getting rid of a matched set, expect $150 to $275 for both. That price covers disconnection, labor, loading, hauling, and recycling. Got other junk to remove at the same time? The per-item cost goes down. We give you the exact number before we start.
From your basement to the recycling facility. We handle every step.
We disconnect water supply lines, drain hoses, and electrical or gas connections. Everything gets capped and shut off properly.
Washers and dryers are bulky and awkward. Our crew handles the weight -- up basement stairs, through tight hallways, out the door.
We shut off the gas valve, disconnect the line, and cap the connection. No leaks, no risk, done right.
We protect your floors, stairways, doorways, and walls during removal. No scratches, no dents, no marks left behind.
Steel, copper, and other metals get separated and recycled at a proper facility. We keep as much out of the landfill as we can.
